Wedding Ceremony of Asata Washington & Harrison Jenkins

When I first met Asata, it was actually thru video chat because she is in the military and lives out of state. She sent me an email inquiring about our company and all the services that we offered. After the introduction of each other, she began to tell me how she would like for her dream wedding to be consisting of bling and soft lighting. The venue was just amazing. As you can see, the first picture is the front of Pine Lakes County Club, Myrtle Beach, SC and the second picture is the back of the venue and that was where the wedding ceremony was held.

Fast forward to me providing her with things she would need to make her wedding magical.  I proceeded to inform her of our services and prices. She was amazed with all we offered along with the prices because after all, since she lives out of state,  and everything was pricey. Her wedding was in South Carolina so they can have both her family and her fiance family able to attend. It was beautiful weather and breezy and just right for an outside ceremony.

Fast forward to our first actual meeting in March at the lovely venue below. Asata was amazed that I arrived at the venue with a portfolio of all of the and ideas for her wedding in it. I was blown away when I saw this beautiful venue.

Fast forward to months of planning the wedding. Asata and I chatted, via text, phone calls, video chat, emails. I promised her that she was going to have a stress free wedding and she got just that. On October 20th, 2013 @ 4:30 Asata Washington married her best friend, lover and man of her dreams Mr. Harrison Jenkins. I had a wonderful bride and the entire process of the wedding was extremely seamless.  Just seeing the smile on my couples face from the beginning of the wedding to them actually waving go bye to us as they leave the venue.

We thoroughly enjoyed Mr. & Mrs. Jenkins and their family and friends. Everyone was a joy to work with and that made my staff work flawless.

Here are some pictures from the wedding: As we get more updated pictures from the professionals we will post.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Jenkins !!!!!

New Trends for the Fall/Winter Seasons

New Trends for the Fall

I’ve been MIA for a while but I’m back, and ready to let you know what’s in the upcoming Fall/Winter seasons. I hope you’ve taken my advice and startd a style board….If not the change of seasons is the perfect time to start.

Lets start with must have pieces:

  1. Motorcycle jackets:  I will have to replace mine this season, but this is a classic that will never die.  Worn with jeans or a sexy dress out on the town…you can’t go wrong.
  2.  An Emerald Green piece: It is the top color for 2013 according to Glamour Fashion.  Try pairing this with other jewel colors such as sapphire or garnet.
  3.    The Plume top: if you don’t have one yet…..GO GET ONE NOW!!!! Just make sure you buy the one that fits you body style…this could be the difference in giving you a waist or making less curvy.
Must have Styles

  1. Military: For the past few years military styles have been making a comeback.  Well they are back  and they are not the girly military.  You want the masculine military style with the sexy feminine fit.
  2. Leather: It's still in and not going anywhere.  This season try some colored leather….just don’t overdo it….NO full leather outfits!!!!
  3. Prints: Classic prints are just that classic….I think I said enough.
  4. White…winter white: Don’t pack up your white just yet….just don’t go overboard…..white denim for a weekend out or a coat….got my eye on one now.
  5. Hats and Beanies: When in doubt throw on a hat.  Bad hair day or not hats and beanies can add a bit of personality to any outfit.

Is the Pouring of Sand at a Wedding Symbolic?

Absolutely,

Either it be the lighting of candles or the pouring of sand really adds a symbolic twist in a visually interesting way for all. During a symbolic sand ceremony the bride and groom take turns to pour colored sand into a beautiful keepsake glass vase in front of their loved ones to symbolize the joining of two people, two families, and the unity of their coming together.  My first sand ceremony was done October 9, 2011 in Richmond Hils, GA.  This beautiful couple have an anniversary coming up in the next few days. Best wishes to a wonderful couple.
